By auditing the online shop and optimising it, it is possible to increase the visibility of the website in the organic search results, thus increasing the number of users who may become customers of the shop.
An e-commerce audit is a detailed analysis of the key aspects of a website that affect its visibility in search results and the generation of sales. The audit consists of purely SEO aspects as well as UX elements.
Scope of the audit
During the audit, we analyse factors influencing the organic visibility of the shop, its conversion rate and prepare recommendations for improvements concerning, among other things:
- structure of information on the site (category tree),
- ease of site navigation, internal linking, internal search engine,
- content on the site, product descriptions and meta data, ie. product titles and meta descriptions,
- loading speed on computers and mobile devices,
- preparation status for AI search, i.e. AI overviews in Google, SearchGPT and Perplexity
- effectiveness and correctness of indexation in search engines.
Audit findings
The result of the consultants’ work is a document explaining the aspects requiring improvement in the form of a document containing recommendations in the form of WHAT / WHY / HOW.
- What – is an explanation of the aspect requiring improvement.
- Why – explains the reason for the importance of implementing the correction,
- How – explains how the change should be implemented.
After the audit, we hold a joint workshop during which we discuss the entire audit and the recommended improvements on the web shop. In the next step of the collaboration, the consultant performing the audit will assist with implementations testing to support the maximum and correct implementation of the changes.
